Karen Treiger, a Seattle native, is a retired attorney and the author of two books. Her first book, "My Soul is Filled with Joy: A Holocaust Story," is about her in-law's survival during the Holocaust. "Standing on the Crack" is available in print, Kindle, and audio book.

Writing this book has been a way of reclaiming a piece of Seattle’s heritage. I hope readers come away with a deeper appreciation for how immigrant families helped shape our civic identity, and how cracks in history can become bridges between generations.
